History of our eggs

The church started making Easter Eggs in 1970 as a fund-raising project for the building program.  We built the church we are currently in and had a loan debt of $145,000 in 1973.  In 1983 the loan was completely paid, greatly assisted by the Easter Egg Project.

We started making eggs in various homes the first year, moved to the parsonage basement, and then to the basement of the old church, which we used for a year or two to make candy after the dedication of the new building.  We grew too big for the space and moved the egg project to the present church basement about 1974.

In 1978 we made 162,000 eggs and used over 3 tons of sugar.

Currently we continue to make eggs and have expanded our variety of eggs using milk, dark and white chocolates.  We hope you love them as much as we love making them!
